I was chatting with someone over on Gawker, and they mentioned they had an unusual car but didn't disclose what it was. I'm curious, so I'll ask you all:
It is English, has a 12-cylinder engine, and less than 1,000 units were produced. What is it?
A lady for your troubles.

One-77?
Your response should be SR20 or you don't have it. :D

Daimler Double Six Coupe?

TVR Cerbera Speed 12. That exact car is in Wikipedia.

The V12 Vanquish exceeds that production number, and the V12 Vantage is supposed to. Presumably not a (the) Cerbera Speed 12, so possibly something using the Jag V12 - Panther J. 72 or Daimler Double Six perhaps?

Could be a lot of things, particularly if stretching slightly to include specific variants of V12 models - something like a Jag XJ-S 6.0 convertible, say, might have only had <1000 made, compared to the ~100k for total XJ-S production. Era?
The obvious current(ish) one is the V12 Vantage. They expanded production to more than the initially planned 1,000 units, so maybe your Gawker friend is confused.
Then again, it could be something really bizarre like a Panther deVille .

Lister Storm? The only road car with 7 litre Jaguar V12.

Speed 12!
it looks a lot better without all the crazy hood vents

Gosh, I'd forgotten those existed! Nice.

Less than 1000 units? That's quite a large number. It could be Jaguar XJC coupe, but I'd suggest it's one of quite a few recent Astons. DB7 Vantage?
As there is only one road-registered TVR Speed 12, it's not going to be that one.

Odds are, anything like that that crosses from rare to hyper-rare, they would have said, say, "less than 10" rather than "less than a thousand". It's more likely with that number being cited it's the Vantage they meant, or something similar.

Yeah, I actually just realized myself that there were only 4 of these built while doing a late fact check on wikipedia.

The only one I could think of was the Double Six, but I have no idea, honestly. Then I got lost in the sea of V12s listed on Wikipedia, so I thought I'd just ask before I end up spending all day reading about them.

Yeah, I just like the TVR. So batshit.

I'll have to ask again, then.
If it's something hilarious or weird like the Panther I'm going to have to invoke SR20 for sure.

That was my initial (and only) thought, but I'm not sure. He hasn't answered yet.

True to that...
This is the ONLY ONE IN THE STREEST!.
Tha TVR CEO found it was "too visceral for streests"

Haha, probably not. Also, I totally understand. It's a rather exciting car.
